Privacy Policy

Skillmarked is an independent exam-practice service run from Sweden. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions: support@skillmarked.com.

What we collect

• Account details. Your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive the name and profile picture on your Google account.
• Practice history. Which questions you answered, whether you were right, and when. We use this to show your progress.
• Subscription status. Whether you have Pro, and the customer ID Stripe gives us. We never see or store your card details.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (such as IP address and browser) to keep the service secure and running.

We don't sell your data, show ads or use tracking or analytics cookies.

Why we use it

• To run your account and give you the features you signed up for, including Pro (performing our contract with you).
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (our legitimate interest).
• To meet legal obligations, such as bookkeeping for payments.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of providers who process data on our behalf, only as needed to run Skillmarked:

• Supabase: database and sign-in.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Stripe: payments. Stripe acts as the merchant of record for your purchase and handles your payment details, VAT and receipts under its own privacy policy.
• Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google".

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies

We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in. They aren't used for tracking, so no cookie banner is needed.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and practice history for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it within 30 days. Payment records may be kept longer where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, and you can object to how we use it. Email support@skillmarked.com and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or your local data protection authority.

Changes

If we make important changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and tell signed-in users.
